As a critical HR contact for the Team Super Group, the HR Business Partner will focus on partnering the business to coach and provide advice on all people related matters including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, organisational effectiveness and promoting Team Super's values through conduct that upholds the corporate culture and work environment.

This HR Business Partner role is a two-year contract to 30 June 2027.

Job Description

Employee Engagement and Retention 

  • Partner with business unit managers to provide specialist advice, guidance and service in relation to managing people operations matters such as employment, behaviour and values, health and safety, promotion of wellbeing, performance management, learning and development plans and calendar, internal stakeholder relationships and employee engagement activities 

  • Provide employees with advice, guidance and support in relation to their employment, entitlements, and related employment activities 

  • Provide specialist service in relation to the implementation, monitoring and recording of performance activities and protocols (appraisals, performance conversations, incentives) 

  • Review and deliver Team Super’s engagement offering including wellbeing and employee relations programs and events 

HR Compliance 

  • Ensure people practices and implementation of policies, procedures, templates, toolkits align with employment relations, wellbeing and health and safety requirements 

  • Work with the Executive Manager, People and Culture in relation to workforce planning and organisational design initiatives including associated implementation plans, consultation activities, internal communications and documentation 

  • Develop and review of People policies and procedures on a cyclical basis 

Recruitment 

  • Work with line managers in relation to recruitment briefs and strategy to acquire talent as required 

  • Complete end to end recruitment including onboarding and HR induction presentations 

WHS 

  • Implementation of WHS policies and procedures with business managers and employees in relation to obligations, behaviours and requirements 

  • Advise managers and employees in relation to managing absence, illness and return to work plans 

  • Build and maintain services to facilitate advice to employees on work matters, career development, support for personal matters and industrial matters, and employee welfare services 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of WHS, HR and training procedures and applications 

Employee Relations 

  • Enterprise Agreement interpretation and implementation. Answering enquiries from team members, team leaders and managers 

Learning and Development 

  • Provide coaching conversations for managers to empower them to undertake performance meetings, implement performance improvement plans and follow up activities in accordance with legislative requirements 

  • Attend formal performance management conversations to partner with managers and the business where required 

  • Build and maintain services to facilitate advice to employees on work matters, career development, support for personal matters and industrial matters, and employee welfare services 

Data Analysis and Reporting 

  • Prepare data, metrics and information for management reports and documents as required 

  • Liaise with Payroll in coordination of payroll forms to support payroll processing requirements with timely provision of accurate documentation 

HR Projects 

  • Work with the Executive Manager, People and Culture to implement people related activities that arise from Strategic Plan initiatives and/or key projects 

  • Work with the Internal Communications team to ensure appropriate and relevant use of communication channels on a cyclical basis such as newsletters, intranet and group updates.

Desired Skills and Experience

Desired skills: 

  • Minimum Advanced Diploma of Business (Human Resources) or equivalent business degree in related discipline from an accredited institution (mandatory) 
  • Return to Work Certificate or willingness to complete (desirable) 
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to undertake (desirable) 
  • WHS Consultation Certificate (desirable) 
  • Certificate IV Business Coaching (desirable) 

Desired experience: 

  • 5 + years HR experience with demonstrated experience partnering with managers across a range of HR functions in a fast-paced organisation where building rapport with and support services for people are a primary focus 
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships and respect for multiple perspectives, diversity and equal opportunity 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
  • Strong understanding of HR/ER/IR regulatory and compliance interpretation and application  
  • Experience in interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and Awards 
  • Proven organisational, analytical and decision-making skills 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines 
  • Payroll experience and knowledge of minimum employee paperwork requirements 
  • Knowledge of and experience with techniques of interviewing, selecting and recruiting applicants for employment 
  • Intermediate level of ability in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Proven ability to research, evaluate and analyse new techniques, methods, and procedures 
  • Able to exercise effective perspective, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
